Project Laundry List -
Project Laundry List uses words, images, and advocacy to educate people

energy sources.
The windows here are pretty interesting,
given the years of Soviet neglect and coal dust. Most people weren't
looking out them anyway. In the words of a New York policeman, "Nothing to
see here." If you didn't see it, you didn't have to weigh the issues
associated with being a witness. Now they are open and curtains, words,
music, dogs, cats and small children flow out.
The word for door in Czech is dvere (with an r that is pronounced like rzsh
through clenched teeth) and for window, okno. Dvere is derived from the
Czech word for two (dva) as most Czech doors are twin leafed and open at
the center, rather than the right or left. The word is therefore plural.
And it gets more confusing from there. -- Jorn
